The Mahallu has different welfare schemes for its members and other communities residing within its jurisdiction. The economically backward members of the Mahallu enjoy the benefit of financial help to thatch their houses, to convert thatched houses into tiled ones,to reimburse their medical bills and for matrimony of their daughters. The Mahallu also spend r . of its income to construct bus shelters, to help run charitable institutions for terminally ill patients and also help local administrative bodies for the welfare of the society.
